The city of Zwickau is an important economic, cultural, scientific and political centre situated in West Saxony, in the middle of Germany with a great tradition in higher education.
The School of Engineering was founded in 1897. Since 1992 the newly founded Westsächsische Hochschule (University of Applied Science) has been following the tradition of the old school. The new university integrated the campus locations in Reichenbach, Schneeberg and Markneukirchen and developed new profiles in Engineering, Economics and Business Administration and Quality of Life.
Newly designed und well equipped lecture rooms, seminar rooms, libraries, laboratories, studios and computer pools with modern IT-technology provide an excellent foundation for scientific and practical education and training.
There are also many activities in applied science in all fields of work and subjects.
